Shopping In Orlando - Orlando / Florida Guide
Florida Guide > Shopping
Ok girls this is for you. Orlando, for those of you that love the shopping experience and treat it as a must do as part of their vacation have picked the right place.
For those who want the designer experience the Mall of Millennia is the place to visit. Built to a grand design along Trafford Centre lines it houses all those shops with the labels you have to be seen in.
Top department stores Bloomingdales, Macy’s & Niemann Marcus for the serial browser, Burberry, Gucci, La Coste, Tommy Bahama Zara, Victoria’s Secret (or is this really a mans shop) Chanel, Loius Vitton, Cartier, Banana Republic, Jimmy Choo, Coach the list is endless for all the fashion victims out there.
Prices are roughly pounds for dollars so at the current exchange rate if you are a Brit you will definitely be getting a bargain. To break up the day ladies can always do “lunch” at one of the excellent restaurants. On our visit we chose the Cheesecake Factory which has a wide range of offerings to satisfy all tastes. If its Chinese you like go for the best known PF Changs which is excellent. Mall of Millennia is off Conroy rd at junction 78 on the I4.
For those who require an outlet mall you have a couple of choices Premium Outlets or Belz Factory outlets. Belz is at the top end of International drive and Premium is on Vineland Road. Belz in my opinion is not the force it used to be and has fallen away from the must go to mall it was but still has plenty to offer. We much prefer the newer Premium Outlets which in our opinion is a mix between Designer and Outlet shopping. You still have the likes of Hugo Boss, Armani , Calvin Klein, DKNY, Versace and Tommy Hilfiger but also Nike ,Dockers, Reebok ,Timberland and other more affordable names. A large cafeteria or rather open plan food hall caters for many small food outlets from Chinese to pizza the choice is endless.
Probably the most visited shopping outlet is the Florida Mall which is at the junction of Sandlake rd and the Orange Blossom Trail and has many large department stores bags of parking and you need at least a week to get round! It warrants a write up on its own, so watch this space.
