Florida Guide > Dining

As this was recommended to us by several different people within the space of a couple of days, we decided to give it a go.

Upon arrival we had two choices either to sit indoors and have the option of choosing from the main menu or to eat outside and be able to only choose from the starter menu, pizzas, soups and salads. Normally only having starters for a main course anyway and preferring the outdoors we opted for the later.

Walking though the restaurant I did feel a prang of regret as the décor was charming, even having a waterfall in the middle of the floor and an open kitchen to watch your meals been prepared. However the outside was just as nice, with shaded decking surrounded by plants and an outside “beach” styled bar (which you can sit at if you just want a drink).

As an added bonus if you are not driving, they have an extensive cocktail list, with all the usual plus lots of superb inventive additions.

The starter menu was quite extensive featuring everything from seafood, Chicken, West Indian patties stuffed with savoury beef and plenty of vegetable options including the Island Onion Rings that looked colossal. There was also a good choice of pizzas (Margarita, Pepperoni, Goats cheese), soups (Black Bean, Bahamian Conch Chowder) and salads (Caesar, Sun-ripened tomato).

We decided to order 3 starters to share between 2 of us; we ordered coconut shrimps (Crispy large shrimp hand-breaded with sweet flaky coconut served with delicious citrus mustard dipping sauce); Jamaican grilled chicken wings (marinated with authentic spicy jerk seasoning, slow roasted served with tangy dipping sauce) and Cuban bread (topped with vine-ripened tomatoes, parmesan cheese, fresh cilantro and basil) -Great choice and plenty of it.

Just as we started tucking in, along came a Bob Marley tribute singer who also played the steel drums, talk about a great atmosphere. The meal was simply delicious and we could not have asked for better surroundings or entertainment.

The best was to get to Bahama Breeze is following the I4 East from Disney and taking the Buena Vista exit, at the end of the slip road are some traffic lights, you can see Bahama Breeze from here at the opposite side of the road on the left hand side.
